About

Rebeca Puga is a painter who lives and works in Los Angeles. She has exhibited her work in various galleries and museums in different cities in the U.S. as well as in Korea, Chile, Spain and Japan.

She received her Master in Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her Bachelor of Arts in Social Economical and Juridical Sciences from the University of Chile. She attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine. She has received grants from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Regional Artist’s Biennale and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture merit scholarship.

Rebeca Puga has taught painting and printmaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and at Saint Augustine College also in Chicago, and has been a visiting artist at several art schools in Illinois, California and Santiago-Chile.
